Instructions
Step 1
Open your cell phone menu. Select the "messages" or 'text messaging' option. Don't use the any hot keys to get to the message menu.

Step 2
Select the empty box that allows you to send a text message to someone who is not in your contact list. Switch the text option from "123" to "abc." Manually enter the email address you'd like to send the text to, finding the "@" symbol in the "symbols" text option.

Step 3
Enter the text you'd like to send to an email account. When you are finished, click on the "send" option. The text will be sent like a normal text, but will instantly appear in the email address inbox that you entered.
You are looking for the sender of the email (the @websitename.com) and any excess numbers or letters that appear before your actual number.
example: 8185552162@vtext.com
8185552162 is the number that you are sending from, and the @vtext.com (verizon wireless' provider email) is what you are looking for
